Exciting event: Our friends at Vermillion River Alpacas (Sue and Rachel), and their awesome neighbor, metal artist Dale Lewis, have generously offered our members a free day of touring their unique and local properties!
Dale is an exceptional metal artist that takes junked metal and turns it into incredible sculptures. You may have seen some of his pieces on our property, as well as around town. He has loads of stories and sculptures to share on his homestead, and it is a really fun experience for all ages. The tours will rotate from his land to the Alpacas nextdoor.
Sue and Rachel own the alpaca farm and that is another wonderful tour/farm to experience. They are nationally known for their fiber processing (yarns), and have really fun animals to encounter. The alpacas are cool (try whistling and see their response), and they also have sheep and goats. They have a small store for purchases as well if you are in the market for super warm alpaca hats, socks, yarn, etc.
We have 4 time slots for 15 people (a total of 60 people) for June 18th, so if you want to enjoy this experience, please choose your time slot and sign up ASAP as they are certain to go quickly. Click here to register, and then please print out your email order confirmation to bring as a "ticket" to your time slot.
